The crow crowed and her eyes slowly fluttered open and she was engulfed by darkness and the creepy stench of her environment.
Where was she?
Last time she checked, she had been in her room with her roomie after her class ended and she had slept off instantly and now, she’s in an unknown place.
She searched herself for her phone but found nothing, she looked around, her neatly braided hair falling sideways while her heart banged in panic.
She wanted to scream for help but she held her tongue back, she might attract unknown danger if she tried and she resorted in taking a stealthy walk around if she’d found any light to make her see.
As she took a step, she stopped as she heard wings flapped and four big birds landed some meters away from her.
These birds were unnaturally big and wierd looking too and she quickly crouched to avoid being seen.
The birds strangely transformed into four old women with red old looking attires on their bodies and they laughed coherently.
“Ekaabo แบนyin แบนyแบน ayรฉ (Welcome, The witches of the world)”
One of the witches said and the rest laughed.
“Why did you call us, Tintin?”
One asked and the one who has greeted stepped forward, Tintin and brought out a calabash.
“A glorious child was born into my household, the child’s glory is so bright that it nearly blinded my spiritual eyes…”
Tintin replied and opened the calabash, the witches stared into it and they exclaimed.
“Ahhhhhhhhh! Impossible! This is a glorious child indeed… We must kill him!”
One said.
“Yes! We must bring the child into this coven and eat his heart and give his head to the devil!”. Another one said.
“Tintin… We must make sure no…”
The last of the said and paused. She sniffed the air in a wierd manner.
“We have an intruder…”
Tintin said and took a glance at where the intruder was and they paused and eyed themselves and advanced towards a direction which they never took their eyes off.
She gulped, she had been sighted… The witches were coming towards her and then she saw one of them near her with a wicked grin and there, a knife was in her hand.
The rest stopped and Tintin who held the knife grabbed her and sniffed her and the next second, she plunged the knife into her and…
“Noooooo!!”
Monisola screamed out from her sleep and jumped down from her bed, waking her roommate, Happiness in the process.
Sweats trickled down her face like she had just taken a bath…
So, it had been a dream all along…
