โ€œIn view of that, the association of women in politics, Ogun State Chapter, thereby demands that the Governor considers the Nigerian Gender Policy and give female councillors the opportunity to represent their ward at each constituency, amounting to about 40 female councillors in the whole of Ogun State.

โ€œHaving said that, it is our hope that his excellency, Governor Dapo Abiodun, treat this demand with urgency and grant our request swiftly.

โ€œAlso, we urge the following people to look into this:

โ€œ Firstly, we want the Commissioner for Women Affairs to, at least, provide 3 from her local government to show how meaningful the position is to the dear state.
