2023: Tinubu Emerges APC Presidential Flagbearer

Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the National Leader of the All Progressive Congress and former Governor of Lagos State, has secured the party’s Presidential ticket, defeating Amaechi, Osinbajo, and others by a large margin.

Around 2,322 delegates from around the country stormed the Eagles Square in Abuja to determine the party’s flagbearer ahead of the general elections in 2023.

While Tinubu received 1,271 votes, his main rivals, former Rivers State Governor and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, received 316 and 235 votes, respectively.
