Ibadan North LG: Hon. Glorious Organizes Quiz Competition To Empower Ward 12 Students

Hon. Olalere Taiwo, popularly known as Hon. Glorious, a leading candidate for the Ward 12 councillor position in Ibadan North Local Government, has organized a quiz competition today, Saturday, February 10, 2024, to bolster the intellectual capacity of students across the ward.

The two-day competition, starting today with the qualifying round at Methodist Primary School, Bodija, will conclude tomorrow at CAC Oke Ife Foyer, Agbowo UI Ibadan, where winners will be announced and awarded.

Polity Reporters reports that the competition was organized amongst students from both public and private schools across Ward 12 of Ibadan North local government.

While speaking to a correspondent from Polity Reporters, Hon. Olalere said that the purpose of the exercise is to reward academic excellence and instill a sense of seriousness towards education amongst the students.

He added that the development aligns with his commitment to give back to the society through education, and is in line with Sustainable Development Goal number four, which advocates education for all, particularly children.

He therefore urged the students to view the competition as a wake-up call to embrace hard work and diligence in their academic pursuits.

He further communicated his best wishes to every participant, stressing that they are all winners regardless of the outcome.

He concluded by appreciating the teachers for their steadfast and unbending dedication in preparing the students, who according to him, are the future of this country.

At the conclusion of today’s qualifying round, Hon. Glorious distributed gift items to every participant, including notebooks, mattresses, bottles, and other items.

Polity Reporters observed, during the event, the presence of key stakeholders from Hon. Glorious’s party, the APC, along with educational officials and well-wishers.

Polity Reporters gathered that the quiz competition was a humanitarian gesture aimed at commemorating his birthday anniversary slated for tomorrow, February 11, 2024.

Hon. Olalere Taiwo, widely recognized as Hon. Glorious, is the APC flagbearer for the position of Councillor for Ward 12, Ibadan North Local Government.
