BREAKING: President Tinubu Appoints New Heads of NIA, DSS

President Bola Tinubu has appointed Mohammed Mohammed as the new Director-General of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA) and Adeola Ajayi as the Director-General of the Department of State Services (DSS).
The appointments follow the resignations of Ahmed Rufai (NIA) and Yusuf Bichi (DSS), who were retained by Tinubu in June 2023.
Mohammed, a seasoned foreign service officer, has served in various roles since joining the NIA in 1995, including as head of the Nigerian mission to Libya.
Ajayi, a veteran DSS officer, has risen through the ranks to become Assistant Director-General, serving as State Director in several states.
President Tinubu expects the new appointees to reposition the agencies for better results, tackle security challenges through enhanced collaboration, and align with the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA).
