Super Eagles Get New Boss
German tactician Bruno Labbadia has been appointed as the new head coach of the Nigerian menโs national team, the Super Eagles.
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) announced Labbadiaโs appointment on Tuesday, concluding the long search for a new leader for the former African champions.
In a statement released on their official X (formerly Twitter) account, the NFF confirmed that the German coach will take charge of the Super Eagles immediately.
โGerman Bruno Labbadia becomes the 37th Head Coach of the @NGSuperEagles,โ the NFF stated.
โThe Nigeria Football Federation has reached an agreement with German tactician Bruno Labbadia to lead Nigeriaโs Senior Men National Team, the Super Eagles.
NFF General Secretary Dr. Mohammed Sanusi stated early Tuesday: โThe NFF Executive Committee has approved the recommendation of its Technical and Development Sub-Committee to appoint Mr. Bruno Labbadia as the Head Coach of the Super Eagles.
โThe appointment takes effect immediately.โ
The Super Eagles have been without a coach since former Ajax winger Finidi George stepped down after a brief tenure.
