NLC Mobilizes Support for Ajaero’s Police Appearance
The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has issued a directive to its state chapters and affiliate members to mobilize support for its President, Joe Ajaero, who is scheduled to appear at the police headquarters on Thursday, August 29, 2024.
According to NLC General Secretary Emmanuel Ugboaja, members are instructed to gather peacefully at their respective state police commands and remain there until Ajaero’s interrogation is complete.
In Abuja, NLC members will also demonstrate solidarity, with some leaders accompanying Ajaero to the police investigation office.
The police had previously invited Ajaero for questioning regarding allegations of terrorism financing, treasonable felony, and cybercrime.
The NLC had requested a postponement of the appearance, which has now been rescheduled.
