Obi Finally Breaks Silence On LP, NLC Conflict
Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has expressed his readiness to resolve the crisis rocking the party.
He has backed the stakeholders’ meeting summoned by Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, scheduled for September 4 at the Government House in Umuahia, Abia State.
The meeting is designed to address the party’s internal conflicts, including the disputed tenures of executives at various levels.
Obi described the stakeholders’ meeting as a “welcome development” and expressed conviction that it would provide an ideal platform to resolve differences and address the crisis.
Through his campaign publicist, Yunusa Tanko, Obi stressed the need for collective effort in finding solutions, stating, “We need everybody on the ground. Nobody should feel superior to others.”
He encouraged all stakeholders to attend the meeting and seek a way forward, warning that non-attendance would indicate a lack of interest in finding solutions.
