Salah Announces Current Season His Last At Liverpool

Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has revealed that the upcoming 2024/2025 season will be his last with the club, after no contract extension talks with the Reds.

In a post-match interview after Liverpool’s 3-0 win over Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday, Salah stated, “As you know, it’s my last year at the club. I want to enjoy it and I don’t want to think about it.”

The Egyptian forward, whose contract expires next summer, has been with Liverpool since 2017 and has been instrumental in the team’s success.

However, Sky Sports pundit Jamie Carragher has expressed surprise at Salah’s announcement, saying, “I would be shocked if Salah isn’t playing for Liverpool next season.”

Salah’s departure would mark the end of an era at Anfield, but the forward remains focused on the current season, saying, “I feel like I’m free to play football and then we’ll see what happens next year.”
