Wike Hits Critics 

Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has expressed his satisfaction with working for President Bola Tinubu’s administration, despite criticism from within his own party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Wike, the only opposition member in Tinubu’s cabinet, made this statement during the PDP Congress in Port Harcourt on Saturday.

He stressed that he has no regrets about his decision to join the All Progressives Congress (APC) government.

The former Rivers State Governor said, “We are fully in government. We are fully in Tinubu’s government. I have no regrets about it, and I will continue to be there. Anybody who is angry should go and hug a transformer.”

Polity Reporters reports that Wike’s appointment as FCT Minister incited controversy, with many speculating that it was a reward for his role in Tinubu’s victory in Rivers State during the 2023 presidential election.
