Bibire Food Bank to Launch Third Food Drive in Six Months

Renowned humanitarian, Honourable Abayomi Fagbenro-Bibire, has announced that the Bibire Food Bank will launch a mega food drive directed at providing numerous families with sufficient food and other emergency support.

Polity Reporters reports that this development is the third in six months, and follows successful initiatives in April and July, which reached many households and provided essential supplies during critical times birthed by current economic realities.

Speaking to Polity Reporters today, the Oyo PDP Chieftain stressed the timeliness of the intervention, saying, “This food drive comes at a critical time to cushion the effects of economic hardship and provide relief to many families struggling to make ends meet.“

He added, “Food is a basic human need; we must ensure everyone has access to it, as hunger has no political party, no religion, and no ethnicity—it affects us all.

“This is why we must prioritize food security and work towards sustainable solutions that address the root causes of hunger and food insecurity.

“So, the Bibire Food Bank serves as a solution, providing essential food supplies to those in need, bridging the gap between scarcity and sufficiency, and supporting our society’s most vulnerable members.“

When asked about the scope of the initiative, the retired US Navy Veteran revealed that countless families would benefit from the food drive, adding that “this one is going to be different from the previous ones as we want to make it mega and, we are working tirelessly to ensure its success.“

While the exact date of the food drive has not been announced, Hon. Bibire assured the public would be alerted in due course to ensure those in need are aware of and can benefit from the support offered.

“We are finalizing the logistics, but rest assured that we will make it public once everything is in place to ensure it reaches as many families as possible,“ he assured.
