NFF Announces Assistant Coaches for Super Eagles
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has announced the appointment of Fidelis Ilechukwu and Daniel Ogunmodede as assistant coaches to interim Super Eagles manager, Augustine Eguavoen.
The duo will assist Eguavoen in the upcoming 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying matches against Benin Republic and Rwanda.
According to a statement by NFF Director of Communications, Ademola Olajire, Ilechukwu, head coach of Enugu Rangers, and Ogunmodede, head coach of Remo Stars, were chosen for their impressive performances in the Nigerian elite division last season.
The team’s technical crew will also include Tomaz Zorec, a Slovenian fitness trainer, goalkeeper trainer Olatunji Baruwa, and match analyst Eboboritse Uwejamomere.
The Super Eagles are expected to begin preparations for the qualifying matches in Uyo on Monday, with the first match against Benin Republic scheduled for Saturday at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium.
The team will then travel to Kigali on Sunday for the second match against Rwanda on Tuesday at the Amahoro Stadium.
