Accused Briton Breaks Silence On Overthrowing Tinubu, Replies Police

Andrew Wynne, the British national accused of plotting to topple President Bola Tinubu’s government, has denied any wrongdoing and expressed willingness to cooperate with the Nigerian authorities.

In an exclusive interview with Channels Television, Wynne stated that he is not a fugitive and has been visiting Nigeria for 25 years, operating a bookshop in Abuja.

He offered to discuss the allegations with the police via WhatsApp, Zoom, or in person at the Nigerian High Commission in London.

Wynne’s Nigerian wife also spoke out, claiming her husband is being falsely accused due to a debt dispute with a Nigerian national, Mr. Olumide.

Earlier, the Nigeria Police Force accused Wynne of building a network of sleeper cells to cause chaos and topple the government, providing financial backing to subversive elements.

The police declared Wynne and his local coordinator, Lucky Ehis Obiyan, wanted and commenced a global hunt for them.

Wynne’s denial and offer to cooperate have added a new twist to the ongoing investigation.
