JAMB Clears Air on HND Admissions

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has categorically denied claims of its involvement in the admission process for Higher National Diploma (HND) students.

In a statement released by its Spokesman, Fabian Benjamin, JAMB emphasized that it has no authority or control over HND admissions, and its mandate is limited to regular admissions for higher institutions.

The board’s clarification comes amidst accusations by some HND students, who claimed that JAMB’s policies prevented them from participating in the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program due to their part-time National Diploma (ND) programs.

JAMB has reiterated that it is not responsible for HND admissions or other higher institution programs beyond its regular admissions mandate, and that HND candidates’ admissions are outside its purview.
