Minimum Wage: NYSC DG Promises Increased Allowance for Corps Members
The Director General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brigadier General Yusha’u Ahmed, has assured serving corps members that their monthly allowance will increase as soon as civil servants start receiving the new minimum wage approved by the federal government.

He praised the corps members for their selfless contributions to the country’s socio-economic development, saying their efforts cannot be underestimated.
The NYSC chief encouraged the corps members to use their service year to develop themselves and plan for a brighter future.
He also advised them to take advantage of the NYSC’s skill acquisition and entrepreneurship development program to acquire vocational skills that will make them self-reliant.
