FUNAAB Demands Justice for Slain Student, Christianah Idowu
The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), has urged the police to expedite the investigation into the abduction and murder of 300-level student Christianah Idowu, stating that โthis act of violence must not go unanswered.โ
The university described Idowu’s senseless killing in Ikorodu, Lagos State, as a painful incident that has left the institution broken-hearted.
The university’s management visited the bereaved family to condole with them, led by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), Prof. Olukayode Akinyemi, and the Student Union President, Ibraheem Adeyemi.
The Lagos State Police Command has arrested 23-year-old Ayomide Adeleye, suspected of kidnapping and killing Idowu.
The university stands in solidarity with Idowu’s family, friends, and all who were touched by her life, demanding that those behind the terrible acts must pay for their misdeeds.
