CAC Revival Centre Holds Special Back-to-School Service for Children, Teens

The Christ Apostolic Church Revival Centre in Apata Ibadan, today, held a special back-to-school service for children and teens, from creche to university level, as they prepare to resume classes next week.

According to Pastor Olufemi Olutayo Salawu, the purpose of this unique service was to impart the children and teens with the spirit of excellence and wisdom, essential for their academic success and personal growth.

Before the commencement of the impartation service Pastor Salawu delivered a short sermon that amplified the importance of wisdom as the key to achieving a desirable position in life.

He furthered with an analogy to illustrate that physical strength or appearance is not what determines a successful leader—whether it be a president, governor, minister or what have you—but rather, wisdom.

He stressed that wisdom is indispensable for anyone aiming to achieve greatness, as what it does is to always guide those who have it to make sound decisions that lead to enviable success.

Quoting from James 1:5-8, the pastor noted that one way to seek wisdom, as instructed in the Bible, is through an impartation service, evident in Deuteronomy 34 vs 9.

The man of God who had earlier anointed the younger children in the crèche and primary levels during their own service, then called forth those in junior secondary school through to university level, praying for them and anointing them by laying hands on everyone.

In a related development, the president also spurred a spiritually charged atmosphere with the repetition of the powerful song “Olorun Agbaye o you are mighty” to remind the congregation of God’s might and emboldening their faith in recognizing Him as the all-powerful one who can do all things.

The impactful service, however, concluded with the hymn “Aigbagbo bila temi loluwa” from the CAC hymn book, leaving the congregation spiritually uplifted and the imparted ones (Children and Teens) ready for the new academic session.
