APC Condemns Attack on Campaign Team in Edo, Warns PDP

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has strongly condemned two recent attacks on its campaign team in Edo State, accusing the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) of twisting the narrative to suit their interests.

In a statement issued on Monday, Kassim Afegbua, Media Director of the APC Campaign Council, alleged that PDP supporters were responsible for the attacks, which occurred during campaigns in Ososo and Ekperi.

Afegbua expressed gratitude to security operatives for restoring order and emphasized that the APC values human life and does not condone violence.

Afegbua who claimed that the PDP’s narrative on the incidents was false and misleading, urged APC its members to remain peaceful, but warned that if the violence continues, they may be forced to confront the perpetrators.

He, however, issued a final warning to the PDP to instruct Governor Obaseki’s supporters to desist from further acts of violence, stating that retaliation from the APC would be uncontrollable.
