Kidnapped Fubara Regains Freedom
Dr. Aribibia Fubara, a Director at the Rivers State Board of Internal Revenue, has been released by his kidnappers after a 12-day captivity.
Fubara was abducted on August 24th at the Okrika waterfront near the Marine Base area of Port Harcourt.
According to sources, Fubara was released in the early hours of Thursday, September 5th, on a small island around Bonny, and was reunited with his family the following day, September 6th.
A family source, who wishes to remain anonymous, confirmed Fubara’s release and revealed that a ransom of โฆ15 million was paid to secure his freedom.
The source also expressed relief and gratitude for Fubara’s safe return.
The Rivers State Police Command has scheduled a briefing with the Commissioner of Police to address Fubara’s release and other related issues.
