Things To Know As Apple Launches iPhone 16
Apple’s highly anticipated launch event will take place on September 9 at its Cupertino headquarters, featuring the unveiling of the iPhone 16 lineup, significant updates to AirPods and Apple Watch ranges, and the introduction of Apple Intelligence, a new suite of AI-powered tools.

The iPhone 16 series will comprise four models: iPhone 16, 16 Plus, 16 Pro, and 16 Pro Max.
Non-Pro models will feature minor changes, including faster processors and 8GB of memory, supporting Apple Intelligence and other features.
The iPhone 16 and 16 Plus will retain the same design as last year’s versions, with 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch screen sizes and aluminum cases.
They will also gain the Action button and vertically stacked rear cameras supporting spatial video recording.
The iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max will feature a new design with larger displays (6.3 inches and 6.9 inches, respectively) and slimmer bezels.
Both Pro models will support Apple Intelligence with enhanced neural engines optimized for AI.
Camera upgrades include a 48-megapixel lens for the ultrawide-angle camera and improved zoom capabilities.
AirPods Updates
Apple will introduce two new AirPods models, replacing the entry-level and mid-tier versions.
Both will feature a new case, USB-C charging, and improved audio quality.
The mid-tier version will have noise cancellation and a higher-end case with a speaker for easier location with Apple’s Find My feature.
Apple Watch Updates
Apple will update all Apple Watch models, including a new low-end Apple Watch SE, mid-level Series 10 model, and Ultra 3.
The Apple Watch Ultra will receive minor internal upgrades, while the Series 10 model will feature an updated look with larger screen-size options and a thinner watch case.
Anew health feature, sleep apnea detection, will be introduced.
Apple Intelligence
Apple’s new AI platform will focus on summarizing messages and notifications, with many key features to be released next year.
