[OFFICIAL] BREAKING: IBSW LG Boss, Eletu, Swears In Hon. Raphael Sunday as Council’s Secretary

Ibadan Southwest Local Government Area Chairman, Hon. Kehinde Adeyemi Akande (Eletu 1), has sworn in Hon. Adebanjo Raphael Sunday as the Secretary to the Local Government (SLG), equivalent to the SSG at the state level.

The brief swearing-in ceremony of Mr. Raphael Sunday took place at the Office of the Local Government Chairman, Aleshinloye, Ibadan.

Polity Reporters reports that the swearing-in of Hon. Adebanjo Raphael Sunday as Secretary to the Local Government followed his successful screening by the Ibadan Southwest Legislative Council earlier today.

In his remarks, the Chairman described his appointment as a reward for his unbending political dedication, urging him to, however, see it as a call to duty and selfless service for the benefit of the party and the people.

The Chairman prayed that God would grant Hon. Sunday every wherewithal to succeed in his new assignment, and that his tenure would herald a new era of development and growth for the LGA.

The Chairman also reiterated his administration’s commitment to fulfilling his campaign promises, prioritizing grassroots development, and maintaining an open-door policy.

In his own words, the party chairman at the Local Government level, Hon. Moruf Balogun (aka Murphy) congratulated Mr. Sunday Raphael and urged him to remain a good ambassador for the party as he forges ahead in his new office as the Secretary to the Local Government.

Speaking to Polity Reporters, Hon. Sunday Raphael expressed gratitude to God, the Oyo State Governor, the Chairman, and all other stakeholders of the party, vowing to diligently discharge his duties without fear or favour.

Polity Reporters reports that the Assistant Secretary to the Local Government and a supervisory councillor were also sworn in during the brief ceremony.
