Adeyanju Begs Tinubu To Drop Him

Activist lawyer Deji Adeyanju has sarcastically responded to President Bola Tinubu’s remark about taking Nigeria to the “promised land.”

Adeyanju jokingly asked Tinubu to “drop him off” along the way, implying he doesn’t want to be part of the journey.

Tinubu had assured Nigerians that his administration is committed to leading the country to the promised land, citing the ongoing support from the National Assembly over the past 19 months.

He made this declaration on Wednesday while addressing a gathering at his residence in Ikoyi, Lagos.

Tinubu stated, “We are determined, we are capable, and we are resolute, and we will be there. We will take Nigeria to that promised land with you.”

Adeyanju reacted to the statement on X, saying, “Tinubu promises to take Nigerians to the ‘promised land’ in his New Year message.

ME: Please drop me; I don’t want to follow Nigerians to where you are taking them. Thank you very much.”
