Mikel Reacts To Manchester United Poor Form

Former Super Eagles captain John Mikel Obi has expressed strong criticism of Manchester United’s players following their humiliating 2-0 loss to Newcastle United at Old Trafford earlier this week.

Speaking on his Obi One podcast, Mikel didn’t hold back in his assessment of the Red Devils’ performance.

“Even if you don’t support Manchester United, watching them play is painful.
They were horrendous. Newcastle could’ve been 3-0 up in the first 20 minutes. It was a complete disaster,” he said.

Mikel defended Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim despite growing criticism of the Portuguese coach.

“It’s not the manager’s fault at all. Ruben Amorim is a fantastic and brilliant young manager.

“The problem lies with the players. Let’s be honest, many of them simply aren’t good enough to wear the Manchester United shirt,” Mikel added.
