The Kano CAN Secretary urged the President, Vice President, ministers, agency heads, legislators, governors, and other leaders to have reverence for God and show genuine concern for the struggles of Nigerians by reassessing policies, cutting costs, offering subsidies, and enhancing security to support agriculture and reduce food prices.

He encouraged current leaders to follow the example of past figures like Malam Aminu Kano, Awolowo, and Sardauna, who are remembered fondly for their positive contributions long after their passing.

Regarding the support provided by the Kano State government for Christian celebrations, Pastor Adeniyi mentioned that the state government contributed 50 bags of rice (25 kg each) and ₦1.8 million, while the federal government supplied 1,200 bags of rice.

He urged the Kano State government to ensure that all support for Christians is funneled through the association for distribution, to prevent any divisions among members.

Pastor Adeniyi also encouraged everyone to express gratitude to God for entering the New Year in good health, while also praying for those who have passed and seeking solutions to Nigeria’s pressing issues, especially economic hardship and insecurity.
