MAPOLY Closed Indefinitely as Students Protest

Moshood Abiola Polytechnic (MAPOLY) in Abeokuta, Ogun State, has been closed indefinitely due to student protests.

The management made this decision to ensure the safety of lives and property, effective Monday, January 13, 2025.

The protests erupted over the management’s decision to verify National Diploma results from students’ former schools.

Students are also upset about an alleged tuition fee increase and delays in mobilizing Higher National Diploma students for the National Youth Service.

According to Yemi Ajibola, the institution’s public relations officer, the management has zero tolerance for fake results and advises students to stay off campus for their own safety.

The management concluded that parents and the public will receive updates as the situation unfolds.
