Kemi Badenoch Rubbishes Trump’s Ukraine Peace Plan

Tory leader Kemi Badenoch has criticised the approach of US President Donald Trump to securing peace in Ukraine, warning that his plan would “reward” Vladimir Putin for his violent invasion.

She made these remarks while delivering a foreign policy speech at the Policy Exchange think tank.

Badenoch also suggested that the era of Pax Americana—global stability maintained by the US—was “evolving, potentially even ending.”

She further condemned Trump’s recent remarks in which he referred to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky as a “dictator,” insisting that it was Putin who truly fit that description.

“Putin is a dictator, and I would be happy to tell Trump this to his face,” Badenoch said.

She also stressed the importance of Prime Minister Keir Starmer’s upcoming visit to the White House, stating that it was “absolutely critical” for the trip to succeed in persuading Trump to distance himself from aligning with the Kremlin.
