Ramadan: Bibire Congratulates Muslim Faithful, Calls for Continued Prayers for Oyo, Nigeria’s Progress

Renowned philanthropist, Honourable Abayomi Fagbenro-Bibire, has congratulated all Muslim faithful in Oyo State and across the federation as they welcome another holy month of Ramadan.

Hon. Bibire made public his well wishes to the Muslim ummah in a congratulatory statement he personally signed and made available to Polity Reporters today, Saturday, March 1, 2025.

In the statement, the retired U.S. Navy veteran urged Muslims to uphold the core tenets of Islam as prescribed during the holy month of Ramadan.

“Fasting in the holy month of Ramadan is one of the five pillars of Islam, a fundamental obligation for all devoted followers of the faith.

“It is an annual opportunity for Muslims to purify their hearts and minds, practice self-discipline by abstaining from food and drink, seek forgiveness for their transgressions, and rededicate their lives to Allah.

“We are, during this sacred month, called to be kind, generous, and compassionate by supporting the poor, the needy, and the infirm, following the example of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

“As a time of purification and devotion, I urge you to strengthen your commitment to the service of Allah and humanity,” he stated partly.

While praying for the acceptance and reward of all acts of worship, the generous politician also called for intensified prayers for peace, progress, and development in Oyo State and Nigeria as a whole.

“I pray that your acts of worship are accepted and rewarded, and I also take this opportunity to ask you to intensify your prayers for peace, progress, and development in Oyo State and Nigeria as a whole,” he prayed.
