Bibire Hails Makinde For Elevating Oyo Agriculture On International Stage

Prominent Oyo PDP chieftain, Honourable Abayomi Fagbenro-Bibire, has lauded Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, for elevating Oyo agriculture on the international stage.

This commendation was issued in a press release made available to Polity Reporters today, Tuesday by his media and publicity team.

Reacting to the visit of the President of Sierra Leone to Oyo State, Bibire stated that the development is a clear evidence that the Governor Seyi Makinde’s great achievements in agriculture are receiving international recognition.

He further commended the foremost citizen of Oyo State for his unbending commitment to agriculture, in both human capital development and overall state progress, stressing that agriculture has been a strong focal point for the Seyi Makinde-led administration.

He added that this is evident in the multiple agricultural investment and intervention programs initiated by the Governor, which continue to yield unprecedented sustainability gains.

The retired US Navy veteran particularly praised Governor Makinde for transforming Oyo State into an ideal destination for investors through improved security measures and a robust road network, noting that no investor would venture into a place that is unsafe or lacks proper roads.

Bibire maintained that the creation of the Oyo State Agribusiness Development Agency (OYSADA) and the subsequent upgrade of the moribund Fasola Farms into the Fasola Agribusiness Industrial Hub are among the positive outcomes of the Governor’s steadfast commitment to the state’s agribusiness sector, as evidenced by huge improvements in livelihoods and a considerable reduction in hunger and poverty in the pacesetter state.

He also noted that the decision has proven successful, as evidenced by the African Development Bank (AfDB) designating the Hub as Nigeria’s first Special Agro-Industrial Processing Zone (SAPZ).

He concluded by urging the good people of Oyo State to continue lending their essential support to the Governor as he continues in his patriotic and passionate service to position Oyo State on the international map and make it a model of excellence for all states in Nigeria.
