Yes Nursery and Primary School has once again demonstrated its commitment to holistic education by organizing a lively and insightful second-term Colour Week, designed to enhance pupils’ intellectual abilities through the exploration of colour significance and creative awareness.

Polity Reporters gathered that the Colour Week ended in a glamorous and enlightening manner, leaving the beneficiaries who are the pupils with a deeper appreciation of the significance of colours in daily life.

The event was an eye-opener as they were equipped with the fundamentals and symbolism of various colours, including white for purity and peace, yellow for energy and happiness, green for growth and renewal, orange for enthusiasm and creativity, and blue for calmness and stability.

These colours, often used to represent emotions, values, aspirations and what have you, were explored in detail to help pupils appreciate their impact.

Speaking to Polity Reporters, the school’s Chief Mentor, Mr Yangbalo James established the importance of understanding colours beyond their visual appeal.

“Colours influence our emotions, behaviours, and even decision-making. At Yes Nursery and Primary School, we believe in educating our pupils not just academically but also in ways that enhance their perception of the world around them,” he stated.

He further reiterated the school’s dedication to holistic education, saying, “We remain committed to nurturing well-rounded pupils by incorporating creative and engaging activities like Colour Week. This initiative, of course, has broadened their knowledge and occasioned an appreciation for the beauty and meaning in everyday things.”

Mr James assured that the school would continue to introduce innovative programs that inspire intellectual curiosity and emotional intelligence among pupils.
