Bibire Sympathizes With Victims Of Aleshinloye Market Fire

Respected Oyo PDP chieftain, Honourable Abayomi Fagbenro-Bibire, has expressed his heartfelt condolences to traders affected by the fire that engulfed the popular Aleshinloye Market on Wednesday, today.

The renowned philanthropist, who hails from Ibadan Southwest and Northwest Federal Constituency, where the unfortunate incident occurred, also sympathized with the government and people of the area over the huge disaster.

This was contained in a statement he issued through his Media and Publicity Team and forwarded to Polity Reporters on Wednesday morning.

In the statement, Honourable Abayomi Fagbenro-Bibire commended the fire service agency and everyone involved for their swift response in salvaging the situation and preventing even greater losses.

He equally called on the government at all levels, NEMA, well-meaning Nigerians, and other relief agencies to provide swift support and assistance to the victims of the fire incident.

The statement partly reads:

“It is with deep sadness that I received the distressing news that the popular Aleshinloye Market has been engulfed by fire, destroying goods and property worth millions of naira.

“It is in view of this tragedy that I join in mourning with the government and the good people of Ibadan Southwest Local Government over these profound losses.

“This unwanted development is not just a setback for business activities in the local government but also affects neighboring areas, as many people rely on this popular market for their daily needs.

“Having said that, let me seize this opportunity to commend the fire service agency and everyone involved for their prompt intervention in containing the fire and preventing further destruction. Your efforts in minimizing what could have been an even greater disaster are truly appreciated.

“I must also not forget to urge the government at all levels, NEMA, well-meaning Nigerians, and other relief agencies to act swiftly in providing the necessary support and assistance to the victims. Truth is that their livelihoods have been severely impacted, and they need all the help they can get in this difficult time.”

Bibire, therefore, offered prayers for God’s comfort and compensation for those who suffered losses and for protection against future occurrences.
