Bibire Urges Christians To Imbibe Spirit Of Service On Palm Sunday, Prays For State, National Progress

Founder of Hope Also Need Help Foundation, Honourable Abayomi Fagbenro-Bibire has congratulated Christians all over the world on the celebration of Palm Sunday, charging them to embrace the path of selfless service as shown by the Lord Jesus Christ when He entered Jerusalem riding on a colt.
He made this known in a statement he made available to Polity Reporters today Sunday in honour of the Palm Sunday observance.
In his words, “the significance of the day goes beyond the cheering crowds and waving of palms, as it reminds Christians that the life of Christ was built on serving others, not seeking to be served.”
He continued by calling on believers to live rightly, help others to correct their ways, be an example of good conduct in every place and being an example of honest and decent life among men.
He said it is not enough to carry the name of Christ without showing the character of Christ, stressing that every follower must be willing to bear one another’s burden, walk in honesty, and speak truth even when it is not popular.
The Oyo PDP chieftain further demanded Christians to live at peace with everyone, forgive quickly, let go of offence, and use this period of Holy Week to strengthen their commitment to the things of God by praying against every nature that does not glorify Him, and asking that His will becomes evident in their lives.
He, however, encouraged believers in Oyo State to use this day to pray for the continued success of His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde, as he carries on with the leadership of Oyo State.
He ended that Christians should also remember to raise strong prayers for the advancement of Ibadan Southwest and Northwest Federal Constituency, for the progress of Oyo State, and for the peace and betterment of Nigeria as a whole.
