2027 Rep Hopeful, Orllybam Congratulates Muslims on Sallah, Urges Them Not to Lose Hope in Nigeria

Honourable Olalekan Ayobami, popularly known as Orllybam and a leading aspirant for the 2027 House of Representatives seat in Ibadan North, has congratulated Muslims on the celebration of Eid-el-Kabir while calling on Nigerians not to lose faith in the country despite the difficult times.

Hon. Olalekan gave this charge in a statement released today, Friday, through his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr Kehinde Bamise, and obtained by Polity Reporters.

The former Mayor of Sultan Bello Hall, University of Ibadan, in the statement, said he shares in the pain and realities of the people in Ibadan North Federal Constituency, in Oyo State, and across Nigeria.

This was as he expressed great concern over the rising prices basic items and other essentials, which according to him, has made it difficult for many families to celebrate the festival with ease.

Orllybam, who confessed that he fully understands the economic and political difficulties the people go through daily, however appealed not to allow their present situation to steal their joy, hope and/or determination to see the country rise again.

He stressed that while the current situation is difficult, it is not a reason to surrender to despair or give up on Nigeria’s potential to recover and prosper, but to remain strong, united, and hopeful for a better tomorrow.

He, therefore, urged the government at all levels to, as a matter of urgency and exigency, take bold steps to improve the standard of living, provide best and lasting solutions to insecurity, and respond to other pressing needs of the people.

He affirmed that the government must create a peaceful environment where celebrations like Eid el Kabir can be enjoyed in every part of the country.

The Chairman of Council of Hall Chairpersons in University of Ibadan concluded by wishing Muslim faithful a peaceful and rewarding celebration enveloped with divine blessings and answered prayers.
