Abati, Rufai React to Fubara’s Visit to Tinubu

Veteran journalist Reuben Abati has suggested that suspended Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara visited President Bola Tinubu to remind him that he is now a “good boy” and not fighting anyone.
Fubara paid a visit to President Tinubu at his residence in Lagos State, amid the ongoing state of emergency in Rivers State and his suspension.
Abati said, “I want to imagine that the reason Fubara visited President Tinubu again is to remind the president that he is now a good boy o, and he is not fighting anybody.”
He added that Fubara has even gone to beg Wike, the lord and master of Rivers State politics.
Rufai expressed his disappointment at the governor, stating, “The same Fubara who said his mind has left the place has gone to visit President Tinubu.”
Rufai questioned the governor’s actions, asking, “Does this show you that all politicians are the same?”
He emphasized that it’s just about power, noting that many people thought Fubara would stand his ground.
