Akpabio’s Media Aide Resigns

Kenny Okolugbo, Consultant on Communications and Strategy to the President of the Senate, Senator Godswill Akpabio, has resigned from his position.

Okolugbo formally communicated his decision in a resignation letter dated December 22, 2025, addressed to the President of the Senate through his Chief of Staff, Chinedu Akubueze.

He attributed his decision to “business and family commitments”.

In the letter, Okolugbo expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve at the highest level of Nigeria’s legislative arm and for the chance to work closely with the leadership of the National Assembly.

“I have enjoyed working with the team. I should also point out the privilege of being an adviser to the number three citizen of the Federal Republic of Nigeria,” he said.
