Bibire Congratulates Wolekanle, Others on Fresh Appointments to LG Commission, Pilgrims Board

PDP chieftain, Honourable Abayomi Fagbenro-Bibire has congratulated Hon. Akinwale Akinwole Wolekanle on his appointment as Chairman of the Oyo State Local Government Commission, describing it as well-merited, and a clear recognition of capacity and commitment to public service.
He made this known in a congratulatory statement he personally signed and made available to Polity Reporters.
According to him, the deserving elevation of Hon. Wolekanle did not come as a surprise to those who have followed his steady commitment to people-oriented politics and developmental service.
Bibire noted that the PDP candidate for the Oyo North Senatorial Candidate in the 2023 general elections is a seasoned politician who has never shied away from the burden of leadership and the weight of public trust, adding that “his loyalty to the people and dedication to public service have never gone unnoticed.”
He further praised the Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde, for once again identifying capable and competent minds to serve in key positions of public trust.
“The Governor’s good eye for competence and excellence is something I have always admired,” Bibire said, maintaining that “this deliberate but applaudable choice greatly validates the fact that the Governor perpetually remains focused on results, above all else.”
“And I have no doubt that this new team will contribute immensely to the advancement of local government administration and the welfare of our people,” he continued.
Bibire also congratulated other appointees, including Mr. Yusuf Ali Akinkunmi, Alhaji Oke Taiwo, Mr. John Abisoye Adisa-Oke, and Mrs. Nike Arewa, wishing them wisdom in their new responsibilities with a charge that they should justify the confidence reposed in them.
He equally sent his good wishes to the new members of the Pilgrims Welfare Board (Muslim Wing), encouraging them to serve with sincerity and the fear of God.
He expressed enough confidence that the combined wisdom and experience of all the appointees would bring about meaningful progress across the structures they have been called to strengthen.
Bibire, however, furthered with a clarion call for unity among the new team, stating that “the road ahead demands cooperation, patience, and the kind of dedication that places people before politics.”
Bibire concluded by urging the appointees to remain humble, focused, and committed to the development ideals of the present administration.
