BREAKING: Peter Obi Dumps Labour For ADC
Former presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, has officially defected to the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
Obi, who was the Labour Party’s flagbearer in the 2023 election, announced his decision on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at an event held at the Nike Lake Resort in Enugu State.
In his address, the former governor of Anambra State said the move marks an end to the year with hope of beginning a rescue journey in 2026.
He further stated that the party will work to resist election rigging by lawful means ahead of the 2027 general election.
Polity Reporters reports that the event was attended by several political figures, including the national chairman of the ADC, David Mark, and other prominent lawmakers and stakeholders.
