Fagbenro-Bibire Kicks Off on Strong Note, Holds First Strategic Meeting

Honourable Abayomi Fagbenro-Bibire, the leading House of Representatives aspirant for Ibadan Southwest and Northwest Federal Constituency under the Peoples Democratic Party, yesterday, Saturday, flagged off the year 2026 on a solid footing with his first strategic meeting with members of the Bibire Peoples Vision Association (BPVA), Southwest wing.
Primary on the agenda of the meeting, geared at laying groundwork for his 2027 electoral victory, was raising awareness amongst the people of Ibadan Southwest and, by extension, Northwest Local Government, to refresh their knowledge of Bibire, his matchless antecedents, and his blueprint for the constituency.
The group, renowned for its deep grassroots connection and strong influence amongst the people, reaffirmed its unbending commitment to mobilize support throughout the federal constituency while championing Bibire’s people-centred agenda and the forward-thinking values of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) across all levels of government.
Being the first meeting of the year, Bibire communicated his deep appreciation to all BPVA members for their consistent efforts over the years in spreading his message of people-first leadership to every corner of the constituency.
The PDP chieftain, who explained that the association goes beyond being a political structure, described BPVA as a family made up of people from different backgrounds who believe in his message of leadership that places the people first and is guided by common principles and mutual respect.
He, however, charged them to remain steadfast and fully prepared as he intensifies consultations towards the 2027 elections for the benefit of the people.
This was as he urged them to sustain their resolve and continue supporting Governor Seyi Makinde, the Peoples Democratic Party, and the delivery of good governance by party leaders at all levels.
The meeting also gave room for a review of activities carried out during the past year, most especially the Christmas funfair and various outreach programmes to different communities and households.
Members further held deep discussions on future plans and how to scale up efforts through clear strategies and improved coordination.
It ended with a recommited resolve from all members to intensify mobilisation and work tirelessly towards ensuring Bibire’s electoral success in 2027.
Those who spoke with Polity Reporters after the meeting described it as a clear signal that the Bibire political movement is gaining momentum as preparations continue.
Polity Reporters observed that public support continues to grow for Bibire across both local government areas, as his antecedents have left no doubt about his people-focused leadership style that many have long desired.
