Governor, Radda Fires Back At Critics, Says Governors Not The Only Thieves

Katsina State Governor, Dikko Umaru Radda, has pushed back strongly against claims that Nigerian governors are thieves.

Speaking during an interview with RFI, which was later shared on Facebook, Governor Radda said corruption is not limited to governors.

He argued that some people who have never held positions as big as governor have also stolen large sums of public money.

The governor questioned the credibility of some critics, saying not everyone has the moral right to accuse others.

“Are governors the only thieves in Nigeria?” he asked.

He continued, “How many people have been caught with stolen money that does not even equal half of a governor’s earnings?”

Governor Radda warned against insults and name-calling, stressing that leadership should be treated as a serious trust.

“Leadership is a responsibility. If you don’t answer before people, you will answer before God,” he said.

He added that the real test of governance is ensuring that public funds are used to benefit the people.

On the issue of security, the governor said peace can only return if everyone works together.

He called on Nigerians to unite, saying lasting peace requires joint efforts from both the government and the citizens.
