Gubana, Yobe Deputy Gov, Loses Son, Daughter In 6 Days

Idi Barde Gubana, the Deputy Governor of Yobe State, has been bereaved yet again.

Last weekend, Gubana lost one of his children in a terrible car accident.

The deceased, named Buni after the state governor, died along with two others in a crash on the Maiduguri-Kano expressway last Saturday.

While Gubana and his family are still grieving Buni’s death, his 16-year-old daughter, Khadija Idi Barde (Siyama), who was involved in the Saturday accident, died in the hospital today.

According to reports, Siyama was rushed to a Kano hospital after the accident. The Daily Trust confirmed that she died on Thursday morning at the hospital where she was being treated.
