How Kachikwu Defeated Moghalu To Pick ADC Presidential Ticket

Dumebi Kachikwu was declared the African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential candidate following the presidential primary conducted in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital, on Wednesday.
General Ekundayo Opaleye, Chairman of the Electoral Committee, declared the results, saying that Dumebi received 978 votes to defeat Prof Kingsley Moghalu, a former deputy governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), who received 589 votes.
Chukwuka Monye received 339 votes, while Princess Chichi Ojei received 72 votes. A further breakdown revealed that Evang. Ebiti Ndok Jegede received five votes, while Lady Angela Johnson received one vote.
