Popular social media comedian and content creator, Adesokan Emmanuel, aka Shank Comics, has revealed that his father converted from Islam to Christianity because of food.

According to him, his father was hungry as a Muslim and converted to Christianity after a church gave him food.

The skit maker disclosed this during a recent conversation with a fellow content creator in Canada. The clip has since gone viral on social media.

He said, “I’m a Christian. Although I have a Muslim name, Saheed. My dad was a Muslim, but there was a time he was very hungry, and a church gave him food—then he converted to Christianity. My dad is so cheap. We were just hungry.”
