How Soldiers Incharge Of Kuje Prison Were Removed 24 Hours Before Attack

Security sources disclosed on Wednesday that soldiers sent to the Kuje neighbourhood and the Correctional Center’s environment, who had mastered the terrain and acclamitised, were taken out and redeployed 24 hours before terrorists stormed Kuje Prison.

The source pondered why the terrorists struck 24 hours after troops who had come to understand the area were removed and new ones who had yet to settle in arrived.

However, Vanguard was informed that the soldiers’ time in that deployment had expired and that they were due for rotation.

Meanwhile, security officials told Vanguard that the terrorists were able to bypass security checkpoints by riding motorcycles.

According to one source, when the terrorists decided to begin the operation, they opened volleys of gunfire intermittently, causing many residents to flee, allowing the terrorists to operate.
