IT’S OFFICIAL: Charles III Becomes King, Takes Oaths

Charles III swore an oath as king during an elaborate ceremony at St James’ Palace in London on Saturday.
The death of his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, was publicly announced by the Accession Council. After then, Charles III was crowned king.
Before the paperwork were signed, about 200 persons gathered in the room all said, ‘God save the King.’
Flags that were lowered in mourning for the late Queen will be raised to full mast for a brief period, according to the BBC.
In his inaugural address to the country yesterday, the King swore to follow in the footsteps of his “darling mama’s” life of service.
The Queen, the UK’s longest-reigning monarch, died peacefully at Balmoral Castle on Thursday afternoon at the age of 96.
