JUST IN: Tinubu Picks Shettima As Running Mate
Bola Tinubu, the APC presidential flagbearer for 2023, has chosen Senator Kashim Shettima as his running mate.
The vice presidential candidate is a former governor of Borno state and a senator from the northeastern part of the country.
Recall that Kano State Governor Abdullahi Ganduje confirmed on Saturday that Tinubu would absolutely a Muslim-Muslim ticket.
Also, on Sunday, the News Agency of Nigeria announced in one of its bulletins that the party’s vice presidential candidate will be unveiled to President Muhammadu Buhari in his hometown of Daura, Katsina State (today).
The former two-term Lagos State governor secured the APC’s presidential ticket at the party’s special national convention and presidential primary election on June 8.
He earlier chose Ibrahim Kabiru Masari as a stand-in for the vice presidential slot.
Tinubu was in France on a short vacation beginning June 27 and ending June 30. He arrived in Nigeria on Saturday, just in time for the Sallah celebrations.
