Kate Henshaw Slams Nigerian Laws for Favouring Men

Nollywood actress Kate Henshaw has stated that Nigerian laws are designed to favour men.

The actress made this claim in a recent interview on Arise TV, where she expressed her views on the status of women in Nigerian society.

According to Henshaw, Nigerian men are wired to see women as lesser beings.

She argued that “the violence against persons prohibition laws” are biased against women, noting that “even our laws, the violence against persons prohibition laws favours men.”

Henshaw questioned why men are allowed to chastise their wives, citing this as evidence of the laws’ bias.

She referenced biblical scripture, saying, “God first created man, no doubt, but He brought the woman out from the side, and not from under the man’s feet.”

Henshaw amplified that God created woman to be beside man, not beneath him, to reign alongside him, and to be fruitful and multiply together.
