Laporte Lauds Deco Over Transfer
Barcelona president, Joan Laporta has confirmed that the club has successfully secured the signing of defender, João Cancelo from Al-Hilal.
Laporte revealed that the 31-year-old Portuguese will undergo his medical tomorrow as he hailed Barcelona’s sporting director, Deco, for a great job.
“João Cancelo arrives tomorrow and will undergo the medical check-up. He will be with us,” Laporte told TV3.
He added, “Cancelo is another great success for Deco. It’s not easy to sign players in this market. Deco has done a great job.”
Cancelo has played for clubs like Manchester City, Juventus, Benfica and Bayern Munich in the past.
