Muslim VP: Tinubu’s Wife Already Pastor — Orji Kalu

Senate Chief Whip Orji Uzor Kalu has claimed that there is nothing wrong with the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu running on a Muslim-Muslim ticket.
Kalu, who remarked while answering reporters’ queries in the Senate, claimed Tinubu, a minority Muslim from the South-West, would be politically naive to pick a minority Christian from the North as his running mate.
He argued that because Tinubu’s wife is a prominent pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), she will serve as a “de facto deputy president” if Tinubu wins the presidency.
He said, “Let me tell you, in my house, my wife is the head of the house in reality. Even you men that are here, now that your wives aren’t here, they are the head. Like if I wear this clothe, my wife will tell me ‘My dear, this clothe is not good, remove it’. Your wife will tell you you are supposed to eat Akara and Akamu, whether you argue with her, you must take that Akamu. Your wife want you to pay children school fees, whether you argue or not, you must pay.
“The Christians should relax because Tinubu’s wife is a pastor and once she’s a pastor we are protected because she’s not a housewife. She has political knowledge.”
He stressed that the APC could not afford to select two minorities and expect to win the presidential election in 2023.
