Put God First, And You’d Never Be The Last — Pastor Olufemi Olutayo-Salawu Urges Believers

President, Nigeria Centre for World Mission, CAC Revival Centre, Pastor Olufemi Olutayo-Salawu has reminded believers that the key to living a fulfilled and prosperous life is to put God first in all things.
He stated this today, Wednesday, during the two-hour interdenominational Eni ba Dake prayer programme, where he spoke passionately about the importance of seeking the Kingdom of God above all else.
According to him, when believers seek after the things of God first, every other thing they desire will naturally follow because those things are additions as credenced in Matthew 6 vs 33.
The servant of God lamented that many have drifted from God because of anxiety, and constant worry about tomorrow, explaining that in their struggle to figure life out, they forget that the God who created them already has their tomorrow settled.
The man of God explained that many people are chasing after what should be following them, forgetting that God’s plan is for His children to seek Him first so he can add every other good thing that is needed, just as the Scripture says in Psalm 34 verse 10 that those who seek the Lord shall not lack any good thing.
Pastor Olutayo-Salawu noted that those who genuinely seek the welfare of the Kingdom of God will never lack anything good because God is all they need to have their needs met.
He added that doing the things of the Kingdom first automatically qualifies a believer for divine additions and blessings.
He urged the congregation to love God with all their hearts, explaining that a man who goes after the things of the Kingdom is a man who enjoys the goodness and blessings of that same Kingdom.
Using David and Solomon as examples, he said their love for the things of God positioned them for uncommon blessings, wisdom, prosperity and what have you.
The cleric questioned the motive behind some people’s wishes to succeed in life, saying many only desire to become great so they can flaunt and oppress others rather than use their positions to benefit others and equally advance the Kingdom of God.
Pastor Olutayo-Salawu wondered how God would bless such motives when the purpose behind them is self-centered rather than kingdom-driven.
He therefore charged believers to seek the Kingdom of God and its righteousness so that all other things can be added unto them.
Speaking further, he relayed that one of the best ways to seek the Kingdom is to love what God loves, and that, according to him, is the salvation of souls.
He stressed that winning souls for Christ should be every believer’s priority because the only time Heaven rejoices is when a sinner repents.
He concluded that true Kingdom pursuit is measured by how much one contributes to the salvation of others.
