Prepare for 2027 Election Loss — Namadi Tells PDP NASS Members

Jigawa State Governor, Malam Umar Namadi, has urged elected National Assembly members of the opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to start preparing to vacate their offices ahead of the 2027 general election.
Governor Namadi made this statement during the Citizen Engagement Programme (JSGCEP) tagged “Gwamnati da Jamaa” held in Dutse local government, where he received over 3,502 members of the PDP and the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP).
The governor believes there’s a strong indication that the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) will reclaim positions won by opposition parties in the 2023 general election due to the party’s commitment to human and capital development.
According to Namadi, the APC is gaining more acceptance in Jigawa’s southwestern zone, and people may no longer vote for PDP members in the next election.
Namadi stated, “With what we are witnessing these days in Birnin Kudi, Buji, and today in Dutse all from this zone, all the elected members of the National Assembly from opposition parties should start counting their days in the Red and Green chamber as the people of the constituencies will no longer vote for them again, they will all vote for APC in 2027”.
The PDP has won seats in the South South senatorial zone, House of Representatives of Birninkudu/Buji and Dutse/Kiyawa Federal constituencies, and Birninkudu state assembly constituency ¹.
