Putin Open to Ukraine Peace Talks, Warns Against Rushing Deal

The Kremlin has stated that President Vladimir Putin remains open to peace negotiations in Ukraine, with ongoing intense efforts between Russia and the United States.

However, the Kremlin warned that the conflict’s complexity makes rapid progress challenging, as Washington desires.

Putin has expressed willingness for direct talks with Ukraine, but Kyiv has yet to respond.

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha said Ukraine is ready for peace talks if Moscow agrees to an unconditional ceasefire.

The Kremlin emphasized that Russia’s aims must be achieved, preferably through peaceful means.

US President has expressed a desire to be remembered as a peacemaker and has made efforts to end the over three-year war in Ukraine.
